General
What is your therapeutic approach?
I use a systemic and relational approach rooted in Structural Family Therapy. I believe that our healing is tied to our relationships and our environment. My work is culturally affirming and often incorporates trauma-informed techniques, EMDR, and mind-body somatic practices.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes! I offer a free initial consultation so we can discuss your needs, answer any questions, and determine if we're a good fit to work together. You can request a consultation through the contact form or my Psychology Today profile.
Do you offer services in Spanish?
Yes! I am a fully bilingual clinician. All of my services—therapy, clinical supervision, and trauma-informed yoga—are available in English, Spanish, or a bilingual format.
What areas do you specialize in?
I specialize in working with the Latinx/e community and survivors of interpersonal trauma. My expertise includes:
- Anxiety and depression
- Complex trauma and PTSD
- Survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse
- Acculturation stress and identity issues
- Relational and family dynamic concerns
Therapy Services
Do you accept insurance?
I am in-network with several providers for Individual Therapy ($150). However, Couples and Family Therapy ($225) are private pay only. I can provide a "superbill" for potential out-of-network reimbursement upon request for these sessions.
What is the requirement for adolescent clients?
When working with minors (ages 13–17), a systemic approach is vital. I require parent consultations once per month to ensure collaborative progress. These consultations are charged at the individual rate of $150 and are private pay only.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can reach out through the contact form or via my Psychology Today profile. I typically respond within 1–2 business days to discuss your needs.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $100 cancellation fee, which is the responsibility of the client.
How does telehealth work?
All therapy sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll receive a link before each session to join from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection. Due to licensing requirements, you must be physically located in Texas at the time of your session.
Clinical Supervision
What is your supervision model?
I utilize the Rønnestad and Skovholt model of professional development. This is a developmental approach that meets you where you are in your journey—from a novice associate to an experienced professional—focusing on continuous reflection and the integration of the "Self-of-the-Therapist."
Who do you supervise?
I provide supervision for LPC Associates in Texas (as a Primary or Secondary supervisor) and Licensed Professionals seeking peer consultation. Please note: I do not provide supervision for graduate students (practicum or internship) at this time.
What are your supervision formats and rates?
- Individual Supervision: $100 per 60-minute session.
- Triadic Supervision (2 supervisees): $70 per 60-minute session.
I also offer specialized Bilingual Supervision for those wanting to strengthen their clinical skills in Spanish.
Trauma-Informed Yoga
How do I access your yoga services?
My yoga services are offered exclusively in in-person group settings through partnerships with nonprofits and community agencies in the Dallas area. I do not offer individual yoga sessions at this time.
What type of yoga do you teach?
I am trained in Yin Yoga. This is a slow-paced, meditative practice that uses longer-held floor poses to help regulate the nervous system, making it an ideal somatic tool for survivors of trauma.
What does an agency need to provide?
Partnering agencies are responsible for providing a private, quiet space (without mirrors) and the necessary materials, including yoga mats, blocks, straps, and blankets.

What topics do you speak about?
I present on a variety of topics, including:
- Mujerismo: Resilience in Latinx/e Womanhood (as seen in my TEDx talk).
- Intergenerational Trauma: Using cultural narratives to understand family cycles.
- Bilingual Counseling: Addressing systemic barriers and counselor training.
- Mental Health in the Media: I also provide expert commentary for outlets like Univision.
